Sell stock that has stopped selling.
Auction Haus sells on consignment for auction houses, retailers, and private sellers across Waterloo Region. We pick it up, photograph it, write up its condition, list it, and handle the bidders. Our share comes out of the sale rather than up front.
Three kinds of seller send us stock, and the arrangement is not the same for all three. Start with the one that sounds like you.
Auction houses and liquidators
A lot that does not suit your buyers, overflow when your own sale is full, or slow-moving stock that is already headed for scrap. It runs on our floor instead of yours.
- Stock Pallets, skids, or a trailer load
- Freight You deliver, or we book it at cost
- Listings Anonymous by default
Retailers
Returns, delivery damage, discontinued lines, and stock that has sat long enough to be written off. It piles up in the back room faster than it can be dealt with.
- Stock Crates, bins, and pallets
- Pickup Weekly, from your store
- Payment A monthly cheque and a statement
Private sellers
Downsizing, clearing an estate, emptying a workshop, or thinning out a collection. You do not need a truck, a trade account, or a fixed idea of what any of it is worth.
- Stock One piece or a houseful
- Sorting Show us what you have and we will say what sells
- Unsold Donated where we can, first $100 of disposal on us
What does not change, whoever you are
The split, the pickup, and what happens to what does not sell all differ by seller. Everything below is the same on every lot we sell.
The stock that sells well at auction
Across all three kinds of seller, this is what moves.
Opened-box returns
Stock that came back through the door opened, whether or not it was used.
Delivery-damaged stock
Items that arrived dented, scratched, or short a part.
Discontinued lines
Product the supplier has stopped making, or a line that is no longer carried.
Seasonal leftovers
Stock that ran past its season and is waiting on the next one.
Aged and slow-moving stock
Items that have sat a long time and stopped moving, wherever they have been sitting.
Trade and building goods
Hardware, building supply, flooring, furniture, appliance, and farm supply stock.
Household goods
Furniture, kitchenware, small appliances, and the contents of a room or a house.
Tools and workshop equipment
Hand tools, power tools, shop equipment, and what is left in a garage.
Collections and single pieces
A collection being thinned out, or one good item on its own.
Food past its best-before date sells too. Send the lot and we will sort out what goes in the auction.
Then just text us
Ask for Pat. A look at what you have is enough to say whether it is worth listing, and we go through the terms then.
